Monthan AFB, Arizona

It's difficult to comprehend the number of military aircraft in dead storage until you see these photographs!

Thats a lot of planes! Why are are they in dead storage? does that mean they just aren't used anymore?

Today, America's military force has been cut down to a fraction of what it was 10 or even 20 years ago. This happened in large part during Bill Clinton's reign. It seems that international relations are becoming ever more peaceful, hence the cuts to US defence forces. My question is, why wouldn't they be sold? That's a lot of $$$ bleaching in the desert.

No kidding! They probably wouldn't consider selling to the private sector, would they?

I'll take one of those...and one of those...oh, and what's the pretty little thing over there...yeah, I'll like a full tank if you don't mind. Perfect--where do I sign!

Yeah, who would they sell them to if they could?
